Bridget Landry
Bridget Landry, deputy uplink engineer for NASA, spent valuable time with the CASA crew, in which we learned some key facts and heard of her interesting experiences with NASA. Her time spent with us will always be looked upon with fond memories. In school, she studied chemistry and planetary science, did research experiments into the reactions of gases caused by exposure to sparks, and analyzed pictures (from the Mariner 9 mission) of Mars' south pole to study its polar cap. She sort of fell into working on missions when she got a job working on the Hubble Space Telescope for one of her old teachers. She worked on an oceanographic satellite called Topex, which is collecting buckets of data about ocean currents that will help make weather forecasting more accurate. On Topex, she built the sequences. Back to Links |
